Closest to Uptown, a public gathering space with food, bathrooms, a sailing school, and rentals of canoe, kayak, and paddle boards. Expect a crowd on a nice day: summer is short!
There are also beaches on the North end (with a playground adjacent) and South end (bigger, more popular), a volleyball court on the southwest side, and a newer children’s playground on the east side (about 3 blocks from the pavilion).
