You just have to take the tramvia T1 at the stop Nenni (150m far from house) and get off at the last stop, Santa Maria Novella,
the main train station of Florence.
S.M.N. is located in the very center of the old city and from there you can easily visit all the points of interest of the city.
Otherwise from there you can take a train an visit other villages or cities.

in summer you can find there a beach on the river! you can play volleyball or just drink something and chill..
it's really a pleasure walk without a direction and discover old restaurant, artesan shop, tipical bar ecc...
personally, my favorite neighborhood of the city!
