Hello everyone new to this area. I have lived here over 9 years and I found a good restaurants and places arounds here and good places to visit during your stay. Sumer and fall are great times to explore this region. There are many events are also coming to explore. I hope this gives you some ideas to make your stay fun and enjoyable. :)
Dartmouth is just awesome place to live and explore to Halifax too. You will have a wonderful time!

Amazing authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Their broth is so good and other dishes are also great. My favourites are pho and Shanghai noodles with a lot of portion. Yam.

All u can eat buffet for Japanese and Thai food. It has a good quality sushi and other food. Children 3 and under are free. Lunch is very cheaper than dinner meal! - weekend is very busy I found.

High quality food of gluten free option available. Kids menu is also awesome. The place is on the second floor of Alderney landing Ferry station with the view of Harbour.

This small library is my kids' favourite place. They have so many kids program available. Also by 10 mins drive, you can go to the Halifax Central library which was brand-new amazingly built in downtown Halifax.

Ferry runs every 15 minutes normally and you can get to Halifax side in 10 mins. You can explore a lot of amazing restaurants in the Halifax side. :)

This is a fun place for kids to explore. Recently we had a dinosaur exhibitions and it was over the moon for my kids. Always your kids can meet some animals there too. Outside of the museum, sometimes horses for polices are eating grass and running around inside of fences.

1747 Summer StThis is a fun place for kids to explore. Recently we had a dinosaur exhibitions and it was over the moon for my kids. Always your kids can meet some animals there too. Outside of the museum, sometimes horses for polices are eating grass and running around inside of fences.
A lot of beautiful flowers and trees. You can get ice-creams there too. It's huge but enough to walk around and some events open sometimes too. My kids love running around there. A beautiful water fountain and a lot of ducks and other birds you will see near the ponds.

It's 5 mins walk from my place. We currently have 8-9 geese which can cross the road by themselves (ha) and a lot of ducks in summer time. Summer fun events will be held in the place. Just beside of it, Lake Banook is located with a playground and a good walking path around the lake. You can enjoy the sun there.

It's park with hills but you will see many flowers and good place to see halifax side from the top of the hill. You should bring the snack and lunch sometimes!

I sometimes walk there to do workout with my kids. They have daycare and it is just renovated amazingly after 2 years construction.
An amazing swimming pool and a lot of scheduled programs. You will not be disappointed if you are looking to have some work-out.
