A local favorite on the downtown pedestrian mall with an Art Deco ambiance and a menu that ranges from pancakes to eggs Benedict. Definitely “diner” coffee though but they allow you to bring high end cappuccino drinks from next door…

Slightly eccentric, but highly talented, chef, Tomas, cooks much more than pies. His Spanish cuisine that includes an incredible wine selection along with European and Spanish cheeses is second to none in Charlottesville. They’re only open for dinner Thursday through Saturday but are open for breakfast and lunch more days of the weekDefinitely worth a visit..

By far the best, Italian restaurant in Charlottesville, boasting mainly Northern Italian cuisine, this place requires reservations in general, at least one or two days in advance and it’s in the wonderful all the region of Charlottesville called “Belmont”.

Located immediately adjacent to Tavola, the Local has a wonderful favorite that uses ingredients from Central Virginia Grass fed beef from Timber Creek farm, which is adjacent to our Airbnb.  The dishes range from short ribs to salmon, to vegetarian specials, and it’s overall slightly higher end, American fair. Reservations are slightly easier to get than at Tavola because it’s a larger place.

Located on the downtown, pedestrian mall, Citizen Burger, serves a variety of burgers, each of outstanding quality beef, including meat from Timber Creek Farm.  This is an informal restaurant with a pretty nice bar as well.
