If you like archaeology then walk down from hound tor toward haytor vale to see the medieval village remains and to the left of the tour are remains of a round house. For hikers there is a four hour walk from hound tor via haytor vale up hill to temple way where the remains of the granite tram line are visible. Go to the old quarry, then climb to the top of hay tor, (for a stunning 360% view) via steps that are carved into the rock. To complete circuit cross hound tor vale up to Holwell lawn which has stunning bluebell display in May and back to hound tor.
