I've spent great time with Hugo and his family. Wood oven is really a wonderfull thing to have and food from it is just yummy ;) Could recommend this experience to anybody.

zusammen mit einer sehr netten Polnischen Famile, Hugos Familie und einem Freund haben wir einen unvergleichlich geselligen und leckeren Abend verbracht. Wir haben so viele interessante Gespräche führen können, dass das Mithelfen beim Essen machen nebenbei erfolgte. Dafür war das Brot, das Fleisch und der Fisch nachher trotzdem unvergleichlich lecker. Es ist schon eine besondere Art der Zubereitung, wenn alles im Holzbackofen zubereitet wird. Zusammen mit dann doch ein wenig zu viel Rotwein hat man sich auch durch die anregenden Gespräche richtig wie in einer einheimischen Familie gefühlt. Der Nachtisch aus Natas und Likören war eine gelungene Abrundung des Abends. Vielen Dank an Hugo und seine Famile für diesen wunderschönen Abend

Thank you Hugo and Rosa for welcoming us into your home! They made a wonderful local dinner in a brick oven. (The bread was amazing). We even got to help. It was a great way to truly connect with the local culture in Terceira. We felt like part of the family. Thanks again!
Unique experience for those who really enjoy savoring traditional food and especially getting involved in food preparation and learning techniques that can lead to their homes. The food is made in a wood-fired oven made of lava stones, similar to our ancestors and that gives an unmistakable flavor that can not be found in the local restaurants. Besides the food, the drink is always present and I give tips of the best wines and we talk above all about what characterizes us as islanders in the middle of this immense ocean, speaking of ocean, you never know how the dinner ends ... one of the last was in water at 2 in the morning on a natural beach surrounded by this beautiful nature.
