This is the local for us, it’s one block away, has heaps of food options and the beer garden is great too. Enjoy a wine or beer or two, walk around the corner and you’re home!

We practically live at Lake Wendouree! We run it, ride it, take the kids there for one of the many playgrounds and cafes. The swans and ducks are in abundance too! And it’s only 800m from our house. Pack a picnic or grab some lunch on the way from the IGA or Olive Grove and enjoy the surrounds.

The history here is amazing and so are the raspberry drops! You can easily spend a day here learning about the Eureka Stockade and what life was like back in the gold rush era. The kids love it and so do we.

This museum is okay, not as good as Sovereign Hill but it does have a really sweet cafe and playground for the kids. There’s also an outdoor pool that’s open in summer and a lake with ducks and BBQs.

Cinema
This is one of the local cinemas and if you’re here I’d ask to have a look at the view from the top level and sneak a peek at cinema 1 with the lights on if it’s not in use! It’s beautiful and must see.
