Food scene
It's a no-nonsense, cash only, hole in the wall with limited seating. Compare this with La Taqueria which seems more commercialized (some rate La Taqueria #1 Burrito in America). The Mission District is full of great food though.

Great rooftop bar with pretty good food. There can be a very long line at times though.

I typically don't like wings, but this place has a great variety of wings that are not your standard buffalo.
My favorite are Korean, Ramen, and Chris's.
They also have a lot of fun decorations and a huge selection of hot sauce.

A new rooftop bar at the top of the Virgin Hotel. Expensive drinks, but it's a great view at the top and typically have a good DJ playing.

Uber and Lyft are the most convenient ways to get around.
Uber and Lyft are the easiest to use. They have lowcost carpool/rideshare options. This is the safest way to get home in the evening.

Bring layers (small jacket, scarf, etc)
SF temperatures can change quickly once the sun goes down. "Carl the Fog" rolls in over the hills and through the Golden Gate and temperatures can go from hot to cold within an hour. If you plan on staying out through the evening, bring a small jacket or scarf that can fit in your bag. This happens even in the summer.
