No public transport; use local ride-hailing apps, instead

Getting around might be a bit difficult since there's no easily available public transport. Instead, use ride-hailing online services such as Gojek or Grab. Cash payments should be okay, but aim to top up credits for a bit further savings.

Travelling light? Rent a (motor)bike! Or a car!

For the adventurous type, motorcycles might be the best way to get around. Of course, a valid rider's license will be required and safety gears (helmet at a minimum) should be worn all the time. Alternatively, for a hassle-free and air-conditioned transit, a car rental (including driver) is recommended. Check with your accommodation whether they offer these rental services.
