A favorite local spot for hikers, mountain bikers, dog walkers, wild-flower lovers and more. On a windy day make sure to take the Maui Falls route over what's know as the Jeep track - it provides much greater protection from the breeze.
This one of the most amazing spots to see balsam root and lupine growing together in full glory, starting about the end of April (approximately) and running about 3 weeks.

Don't be dissuaded if there's a little wait - just take a stroll around the neighborhood and relax knowing the experience will be well worth the wait.

A great after-theatre dinner can be had at Celilo Restaurant & Bar right around the corner: 16 Oak Street Hood River. Their farm to table-inspired cuisine always includes the freshest local produce and protein available. An elegant dinner, but worth the price.
