Lokrum is conveniently located on a short ferry ride from Dubrovnik Old Town, so day trips to the island are very popular among locals as well as among the visitors to Dubrovnik. Additionally, spending a day or just a half-day there can be a really refreshing experience, as the island has plenty of pine, cypress and olive trees as well as some other subtropical vegetation which offers tranquillity and shade, especially during the hot summer days.

Mount Srd sharply rises above the Old City in Dubrovnik, Croatia.  The craggy mountain is capped with a large fortress, an enormous cross (both of which are visible from sea level), a Croatian war museum and a panoramic restaurant. From the top, visitors are treated to a stunning 360-degree view of Dubrovnik that is simply breath-taking. Visitors can spend a blissful day soaking in the beauty of the Adriatic Sea and the most famous historic city in Croatia.
