Bernal Heights has a bit of everything. Here are some of our favorites.
Good Life Market - local market with organic produce, prepared foods, sushi, beer/wine, etc.
Piqueos - very good Peruvian food, great wine list and awesome sangria.
Third Cousin - upscale California cuisine.
Nute’s - Excellent ramen, Japanese appetizers beer and sake. Also, really good Thai noodles.
Little Bee Bakery - Really good cakes, tarts and cookies with gluten free options. Always have lots of other goodies on the shelf and they make a solid cappuccino.
Epicurean Trader - Pick up your Tartine loaf here. You can order ahead and they will hold a loaf for you. Other items we can’t live without are Wise & Sons bagels/lox/cream cheese, Sight Glass coffee and their wine/booze selection.
Pinhole Coffee - Best coffee in the neighborhood, small selection of pastries, awesome people working there.
