Commune with nature
This little piece of paradise is accessible by water taxi from Runaway Bay or Sanctuary Cove or by Couran Cove ferry via their website from the Gold Coast. It’s a 22 kilometre long sand island, inhabited by wallabies, sugar gliders, bandicoots and a huge variety of birds to name a few. There are beautiful walks and glorious sunsets over the Broadwater to be enjoyed.
Sky above, sand below, peace within.

A lovely 20-25 minute walk from the lodge to this beautiful surf beach. You can see Surfers paradise on a clear day or migrating whales June to October.

Food scene
Although there is a small shop, cafe and restaurant at Couran Cove, the facilities are only open at peak times and Friday to Sunday. We tend to take an esky with us and eat out here or enjoy the walk to Tipplers, details below.
We love the 40 minute walk to Tipplers along the seafront for a great atmosphere, cafe and licensed bar.
