Amazing bowl of Pho with various options available. The broth will make you feel like you’re eating on a plastic stool amongst the locals on the streets of Hanoi. Oh, and the donuts are pretty amazing as well (if they haven’t sold out by the time you get there!)

Pretty darn good sushi. Better than you would expect to find in the middle of the Mojave friggin’ desert! The rice isn’t LA level (sugar fish or kazu nori) but its fine. The fish is fresh. Skip the ramen but the spicy beef is legit! Their beverage fridge is one of those super cold “dips into freezing periodicaly” type and you will often get little ice crystals formed your drink (so nice on a hot day).

The fish is fresh. Skip the ramen but the spicy beef is legit! Their beverage fridge is one of those super cold “dips into freezing periodicaly” type and you will often get little ice crystals formed your drink (so nice on a hot day).
Absolutely insane ribs. Good BBQ all around but the ribs are just incredible. Get the sampler plate to try all the flavours. The grilled jalapeno poppers are awesome. Their cheesecake and peach cobbler are pretty fire too. They get pretty busy (especially on weekends) so feel free to call in an order for pick up and take it outside to chow down.

We’ve heard that people actually drive all the way from Los Angeles to eat here. We’ve been several times and its super legit. We haven’t tried the pizza yet (their curries are too good) but reviews are positive and the options look interesting.

Joshua Tree National Park
The park is the premier outdoor attraction in the area, and is frequented by over 3 million people each year. It can get quite busy (especially in the cooler winter months) so it’s best to go super early just as the sun is rising if you want to be sure to get parking at all the best points of interest. The park is open 24 hours so feel free to set out when its still dark and set up in a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. It’s absolutely epic. We recommend entering through the North Entrance which is found by taking a left on Amboy as you head back towards Twentynine Palms. It shows up on GPS!
