Avoid walking in tenderloin area
The city of SF has a lot of offer, including some sketchiness. Tenderloin area is definitely one of the neighborhoods that you do not want to walk around. General advice: 1) avoid the neighborhood 2) using uber/lyft 3) if you drive, empty the truck and seats before leaving the car

Always bring a jacket when you are outdoor
A famous quote falsely attributed to Mark Twain once said, "The coldest winter was a summer in San Francisco" -- Please bring an extra jacket with you so you don't freeze in our summer :)

Please don't leave ANYTHING visible in cars
Please be very careful about leaving anything in cars. Broken Windows on cars are frequent in touristy areas of the city. You certainly don't want to ruin your vacation with a broken window and stolen luggage!
