Take the beautiful drive through the Enchanted Circle to get to Red River. You will likely see bighorn sheep between Questa and Red River at many times of year. Red River feels like summer camp in the 1980s and has lots of kid friendly activities in addition to cross country skiing, breweries, and wineries. We love hiking the nature trail or walking along the river and then stopping at Noisy Water Winery for a cheese plate. Red River Brewing is also very good and very very popular - if you can get a table you will have a great time. The outdoor patio is heated and open in winter.
