About 45 minute drive from your place in Tulum , nice ruins just outside of the city of Valladeloid there are also three cenotes close to coba.

This is a must do if in Tulum, amazing ruins actually 800 years old and older than ruins of Tulum, small parking fee and entrance fee, but when you get to the shoreline of sian khan take the boat out to float in the river for 1.5 hours, one of the most beautiful and peaceful thing you will ever do. Recommend doing the ruins early in am around 9am then float in the river will be around lunch time, bring water and snacks. Not touristy at all
