Stroll down the main streets and you'll find a genuinely friendly place. Soak up the down-to-earth hospitality and discover a unique collection of fine restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops, a microbrewery and intriguing galleries. The Nannen Arboretum is a relaxing retreat where you can view unique trees and shrubs or contemplate nature. Ellicottville's 19th century charm is lovingly preserved in its homes and historic buildings that sit on quiet tree lined streets.
In downtown Ellicottville you'll find a great variety of very special shops...Indonesian imports at Gado Gado; unique toys and gifts for all ages at Kazoo II; natural soaps, foods and health related items at Nature's Remedy; gifts and cards at Alexandra's and even a store dedicated to just socks, The Purple Doorknob! There is an impressive lineup of high quality specialty ski and snowboard shops plus many more. Ellicottville is truly a shopper's delight, and not one chain store among them!
Ellicottville is a quintessential small town, and by tradition many of the stores are open from 10AM to 6PM. Here's a list of stores that are open later: Watson's Chocolates until 9PM Monday through Saturday. Ellicottville Spirits Monday through Thursday until 8PM, Friday and Saturday until 10PM. Nature's Remedy, Gado Gado, Alexandra's Friday and Saturday until 7PM.

Chestnut Ridge Park is a 1,213-acre park in Orchard Park, New York, originally named for the chestnut trees on its hills. It is currently the largest park operated by the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, and is open year-round.
The Eternal Flame Falls is a small waterfall located in the Shale Creek Preserve, a section of Chestnut Ridge Park in Western New York. A small grotto at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, which can be lit to produce a small flame. This flame is visible nearly year round, although it can be extinguished and must occasionally be re-lit.
Chestnut Ridge Park's winter activities include Sledding, Skiing and Tobogganing when weather permits.
