This awesome new brewery on Main Street is just a short walk from the Airbnb. Nestled on the banks of Ellicott Creek, both the large outdoor patio and restaurant have spectacular views. Not to mention a variety of beer brewed right on premise.

If you like homemade ice cream, this is the place! Located just a short walk away, Sweet Jenny's is the place ice cream dreams are made of. Since 1985, Sweet Jenny’s has been producing small batches of ice cream and chocolates from fresh wholesome ingredients. Products are created in the same building as the retail retail shop, inside the 1811 Williamsville Mill. That means you get the freshest product possible, often out for sale the very day it is made. Our favorite flavor ice cream: Black raspberry

An Original 1887 American Tavern The stage coach route ran along Main Street in the growing village of Williamsville, NY. To attract area residents and travelers, The Glen Park Tavern was constructed in 1887 and has been operating as a restaurant and pub ever since. Dine in the original brick building with hand-hewn beams, original mahogany bar, and hardwood floors. Today The Glen Park Tavern remains at the hub of the community -- a meeting place where friends and family can enjoy good food, easy conversation and great spirits. Open 7 days a week for lunch, brunch, takeouts, caterings and dinner. Our favorite menu items are Hand Carved Beef on Weck, Stuffed Hot Peppers and Lobster Bisque. They also make a delicious burger and are an official stop on "The Buffalo Wing Trail". Just beyond our patio and down the gorge, is Glen Park. This beloved park has walking trails, ponds and of course the spectacular Glen Falls. If you're there on a sunny summer Saturday, you're likely to find a wedding party or two as the base of the falls is a popular spot for newlyweds to gather for wedding photos.

Island Park is just a 10-minute walk from the Airbnb. Just as the name says, this park is really a little island in the middle of Ellicott Creek. There's a nice playground for children and a large covered picnic area towards the back of the park.

The park is partially in the Village of Williamsville with the balance located in the Town of Amherst on land formerly belonging to The Sisters of St. Francis. The St. Mary of the Angels Mother House, built in Gothic Revival style, overlooks the Park. Nature trails are available for the general public. Amherst State Park includes approximately 77 acres of State-owned land and approximately 3 acres of Town-owned land in the Town of Amherst, Erie County, New York. The property also features wooded areas, meadows, old orchards and formally landscaped grounds. The former Reist Mill, a locally designated historic structure, was located within the park adjacent to Reist Street. The park is currently used for family and small group picnicking, bird watching, fishing, walking, jogging, dog walking and a variety of other passive recreational activities. The main access point is at 400 Mill Street in Amherst. The park can easily be accessed by walking to the end of our dead-end street.

Located just a few blocks away, the red Williamsville Water Mill Complex is a historic mill. It was built originally as a sawmill in 1801, substantially enlarged in 1827, and operated in that capacity until 1903. Also on the site was the Water-Lime Works and Williamsville Cement Company mill, which was later converted to be a gristmill. After 1908, the mills were used for apple cider production. The complex is a rare surviving example of a water-powered seat of local industry in Western New York. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. In 2014, Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream renovated and moved into the mill, where they continue to draw business from those visiting Glen Park.
