Just a few minutes stroll from the property is the stunning south shore and beachfront of Loch Ness, where you can picnic, grab a takeaway, take a boat ride or take a dip in the water. All of the pubs, restaurants and shops are just behind you.

The stunning falls of Foyers are just a 25 minute drive from the property, through spectacular mountain scenery. You can park close by and wander down to the falls through the woods. Stop by Cameron's tearoom, have some freshly baked cake and see the Highland cows and deer before you head back!

This hotel is just an hour and a half drive from the property and is so worth the trip! You'll drive through the most spectacular scenery and along the shores of Loch Lochy, go through Fort William and through Glencoe. Once at the hotel you can have lunch or dinner in their beautiful restaurant and head for a walk to Glencoe Ski Resort for a ride on the ski lift!

This hotel is just an hour and a half drive from the property and is so worth the trip! You'll drive through the most spectacular scenery and along the shores of Loch Lochy, go through Fort William and through Glencoe. Once at the hotel you can have lunch or dinner in their beautiful restaurant and head for a walk to Glencoe Ski Resort for a ride on the ski lift!

Urquhart Castle is just 25 minutes from the property and open all year round. Its a must see for history lovers, you access it from underground and view a short film on its history in lovely cinema next to the cafe and gift shop.

This is one of my favourite walks, with so many tracks to choose from. just a couple of minutes drive from the property, you can park at auchterawe woods car park and picnic area and take one of the many tracks through the woods, circling back along the river path. There are lots of places to cycle, dip your toes, swim, or even take a blow-up canoe.

Girvans Hardware store in the village is the perfect place to top up on fire wood, charcoal for the BBQ or even hire a bike for trip out on the canal or up the mountain path.

This is a spectacular viewpoint just a 10 minute drive from the property en route to Whitebridge or Foyers. The photo's can't do it justice, so you have to visit and see for yourself. This whole top Loch Ness road is a sightseer's dream!

Fort Augustus is a beautiful village with spectacular views and scenery in every direction, whether you're walking, cycling or driving through the mountains. It's well equipped with lots of shops and eateries, and things to do, all within a few minutes walk of the property.

Inverness is just under an hour away from the property. You can take public transport from the village bus stop, which leaves regularly throughout the day, year round. Inverness has a good sized City centre with lots of shopping, restaurants and interesting sightseeing spots.

There is also charging here for electric vehicles. Its a few minutes walk from the property.
We love this restaurant for the spectacular views across Loch Lochy to the mountains. The restaurant is family friendly with a lovely walk along the beach. You can even book a spa treatment or relax on the sofas and have a whisky in the bar. Its a 20 minute drive from the property.

This is a lovely quintessential scottish pub overlooking the Caledonian Canal. Its a huge favourite, often mentioned in our guest book. Open fires, exposed stone, lots of whisky options and beautiful pub food. I recommend booking a table in the summer months.
