Aruba Beaches

Malmok Beach Malmok Beach in Aruba is a narrow sandy stretch that interrupts the limestone and rocky terrace along Malmok’s coast . Its shallow clear Caribbean waters make it a popular snorkeling spot in Aruba. Here catamarans and sailboats stop for a daytime snorkeling stop just off the shoreline. Reefs and sunken wrecks nearby afford excellent diving in Aruba. Malmok Beach is also the name of a residential area with sprawling homes and a variety of modest windsurfing residences in Aruba. The main road through the Malmok Beach area is leading to the famous California Lighthouse, Tierra del Sol 18-hole golf course, Arashi Beach and other Aruba landmarks and activities. During early morning and late afternoon hours the Malmok Beach road is a popular venue in Aruba for outdoor activities. Both locals and tourists hit the road biking and hiking for their daily workout. This is my favorite beach for sunset because you do not have the intrusion off all the tours stopping at this beach so, it is nice and peaceful!

Tres Trapi Next to Catalina Cove is another popular snorkeling spot known as Tres Trapi, which is one of the most unique snorkeling spots in the Caribbean. It’s called Tres Trapi, “3 Steps”, because of the rock made stairway to the water. While there aren’t many fish here compared to the other snorkeling beaches on this list, there are a lot of colorful sea stars found all throughout Tres Trapi and if you are lucky you will see the sea turtles eating sea grass on the ocean floor. These beautiful creations make Tres Trapi a unique and attractive snorkeling spot. Location: Tres Trapi is located near Malmok Beach. You have to drive to the north side of the island, as if you’re going to the California Lighthouse. Before you reach Arashi beach you will see a yellow house on your left. Tres Trapi is next to this yellow house (you can see the yellow house in the first picture). One more thing.. if you go a little further into the water, you can find up to 30 starfish!! They are so beautiful and they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. TIP: starfish don’t die immediately after you take them out of the water but its better to not take them out at all. Also if you do pick them up, never put them back upside down. Of course there are plenty of fish here too and sometimes you can even see sea turtles or squid ?
