Beautiful ocean views throughout downtown La Jolla, with some really tasty restaurants. Sea Lion cove will almost always impress with the birds, views, and of course the sea lions. A little further south is Seal beach where the seals come up to rest and bask in the sun. North toward the pier is La Jolla Beach

Beaches
This is the closest beach to our apartment, less than 2 miles away. Nice views of the pier, nice to walk the pier as well. I recommend the northern side of OB toward the dog beach as it tends to be quieter, with more parking available. Parking can be difficult on weekends.

1850 Ocean Front StThis is the closest beach to our apartment, less than 2 miles away. Nice views of the pier, nice to walk the pier as well. I recommend the northern side of OB toward the dog beach as it tends to be quieter, with more parking available. Parking can be difficult on weekends.
Belmont park, nice ocean front restaurants, there is a splash pad near Belmont park as well. Walk between the bay and the ocean, great option for anyone.

This is a historic area of San Diego with really nice architecture, the zoo, and the Japanese gardens. Nice areas to walk around, shops, and several museums to check out.

This is a historic area of San Diego with really nice architecture, the zoo, and the Japanese gardens. Nice areas to walk around, shops, and several museums to check out.
One of the best and most well-known zoos in the world! Highly recommend checking it out, as well as the Safari Park up near Escondido. 2 very different environments, both very cool to see and a great day for the whole family.
