Although an hour and a quarter from Hawkridge, this is a beautiful and excellent restaurant in one of the world's most iconic settings. Log fires, friendly, attentive service and traditional stonework make this a great reward for quite a long drive. Probably worth considering staying the night in Sextantion Albergo Diffuso if it is dinner that you go for.

Undoubtedly some of the best arrosticini (sheep kababs) in the region and a great setting too where Marco cooks on the coals beneath vaulted stone ceilings. The house wine is also excellent.
