This is standard pub fare with a twist. You buy your beer/wine by the ounce and pour your own. Usually a pretty decent tap selection with some great local beers (only tap beers). They have a nice little patio on the back of the restaurant. About a 3 block walk from the house.

fare. They are a much loved restaurant across the Twin Cities areas. Great food and
relaxed vibe. About a 4 block walk from the house.

Parks
Finally, one of the State Parks that we love most in our area is the Fort Snelling State Park. It sits at the convergence of the Mississippi River and the Minnesota River. There is a small island called Pike Island which has a wide 3.5 mile hiking loop around the whole island. If you’re looking for a great hike, we highly recommend it. It is a true gem that only locals know about. The state park can be reached by car and is about a 10 minute drive from the house.

101 Hwy 55Finally, one of the State Parks that we love most in our area is the Fort Snelling State Park. It sits at the convergence of the Mississippi River and the Minnesota River. There is a small island called Pike Island which has a wide 3.5 mile hiking loop around the whole island. If you’re looking for a great hike, we highly recommend it. It is a true gem that only locals know about. The state park can be reached by car and is about a 10 minute drive from the house.

There is also a great little restaurant called Bread and Pickle where you can eat next to the lake. If hanging out at the beach is more your thing, there are two beaches on Lake Harriet, one on the south side and one on the north side. The north beach is about a 20 minute walk from our house.
