There's a great viewing deck on top of a hill just outside of Te Anau. (Only a few minutes' drive from our farm.) You will be able to see both Lake Te Anau and Lake Manapouri at the same time. Fantastic view of the mountains. Go up the stone steps in the middle, and the stone circle will tell you the names of the mountains etc.
