The Westerpark now rivals the Vondel Park as Amsterdam's best park. The park is the beautifully landscaped grounds of a former gas Factory, the factory buildings have been restored and now host a number of cafe's, bars, art galleries and also host festivals and cultural events. It's the perfect place for a bbq, picnic, throw a frisbee or go jogging. You can also hire boats here. It's a definite must see location.
