Where to begin...this is the oldest town in Nevada. Home of the Oldest Saloon in Nevada, the Genoa Bar. Locally owned, never been dusted, seriously! Pretty good Bloody Marys.
Also check out the Pink House. Recently this tapas like Victorian home was remodeled. They have great food and beer.

This is my favorite place to shop. Think American Pickers! The owner Meredith is so sweet and she has an eye for decor. You will be blown away by her talent. Drawback, she is only open one weekend a month. The rest of the month she is picking across the west coast.

Drive around the whole lake! It takes about 2.5 hours. You will find plenty of gorgeous spots for photos. Try to find the house where The Godfather was filmed on the West Shore.
Bonanza was filmed on the East Shore in Incline. Although it is not open to the public, there is a free museum in Incline all about the Ponderosa Ranch.
Emerald Bay is simply stunning. You can stop at Camp Richardson for lunch at the Beacon and eat right on the beach, weather permitting.
My favorite beach is Roundhill Pines. They offer many activities and Rum Runners, a must have summer drink only served at Roundhill and the Beacon.
