Beautiful and secluded ridgetop trail that is four miles from the cabin. The road is paved to the trail, but is very curvy. Park in the pull-off and walk up the dirt road 100 yards.

It is the best place to see wildlife (deer, turkey and bears) in the park, especially shortly after sunrise or before sunset. Because it is very popular it can become a parking lot on summer weekends. 30 minutes from the cabin.

It is the best place to see wildlife (deer, turkey and bears) in the park, especially shortly after sunrise or before sunset. There are several outfitters who rent rafts and provide pickup for tubing the Little River that runs through Townsend. This is the biggest summer family activity in town. For $10-$15 per person you can enjoy the beauty and mild rapids of this cool river for as much of the day as you like.
