This is what you come to NYC for. It is a locally run farm to table gem in a grittier area of Alphabet City. The chef changes the menu weekly based on what's available -- exceptional quality and creative dishes, while not paying the high prices of a midtown restaurant. Highly recommend.

My other favorite bottomless brunch, French style. Really good bloody marrys available on bottomless brunch on weekends. I love this place for brunch -- I go here and Fonda for brunch.

It is very dark and sceney -- on the more expensive side but really good cocktails / mixology. It is probably a must see if you're looking for bars and lounges in the East Village.
