P's and Q's is our go to brunch spot. They have some of the best breakfast in the city. The biscuits and gravy and the specials are to die for. They also serve their famous brisket sandwich all day and it is one of the best you will eat. The brisket sandwich was voted best sandwich in Portland last year. Really though the Poblano Chili Polenta Sandwich is a close runner up and delicious in it own rite. They also have local beer, great coffee, and Wildcraft cider on tap (we believe this is the best cider on the West Coast. And if this is not enough they have nearly every grocery item you might need to do a little cooking and live Bluegrass on Saturday.

1301 NE Dekum StP's and Q's is our go to brunch spot. They have some of the best breakfast in the city. The biscuits and gravy and the specials are to die for. They have probably some of the best wood oven fire pizza we have ever had cooked right in the dinning room. They have probably some of the best wood oven fire pizza we have ever had cooked right in the dinning room. All their appetizers are great especially the browned cauliflower and they also have great Italian food as well. This is a nice romantic spot but make a reservation as they are most often full.
The nations first non profit pub and they have a killer selection of West Coast beer and good pub food. Cool thing is that all the profits from your purchase go to the charity of your choice!

La Taq is probably the best Southwest food we have had. They have a small menu but everything is amazing! They are owned by the next door Podnah's BBQ so all the meat they use is smokey delicious. Our favorites are the Smoked Brisket Enchiladas, Poblano pepper tacos, and the Green Chili Queso. If you are thirsty their margaritas are amazing, they have an excellent selection of Tequila and Mezcal and Mexican beer on tap. And in season they hand roast all their chilis!

If you like BBQ go here! Their ribs are amazing and on Friday they have fried catfish and I have to keep myself from going every Friday! They also have amazing brunch and one of he best Chicken Fried Steaks I have ever had.

One of our favorite local restaurants. Probably some of the most well crafted Mexican food in the city. Get the Tamale Boy Burrito, any tamale on the menu, and fresh made guacamole. All of their margaritas are delicious and their outdoor covered and uncovered patio has fire pits and is shared with another one of our favorite places Hi-Wheel Fizzy Wine. A must visit. They often have live Mariachi music too!

All of their margaritas are delicious and their outdoor covered and uncovered patio has fire pits and is shared with another one of our favorite places Hi-Wheel Fizzy Wine. A must visit. They often have live Mariachi music too!
This is our favorite go to cold weather restaurant. They have excellent food and Upright Brewery beer on tap. We highly recommend the burger and believe it is the best in the city.

Tough Luck is an excellent place to get drinks and hang out in a very cool reclaimed convenience store. They have a very nice patio, unique drinking food and an excellent selection of spirits and local beer. We particularly like the burger and the bowls.

If you have never had fizzy wine you have to try this place! Great patio, wine and Meade made in house and a killer patio. We suggest this lime habanero or raspberry and if you like Meade made from honey or local beer their's is top notch.
