Bapu Bazar is located within the old city area between the Sanganeri Gate and New Gate. Bapu Bazar is an ever busy bustling Jaipur shopping market. There is no vehicular traffic on this road. You can buy all things quintessentially Rajasthani here – salwar kameez sets, bedspreads, cushion covers and fabric. Block prints and vegetable dyeing are very typical of the State of Rajasthan.Sanganeri prints, Bagru prints, (Sanganeri and bagru print, named after the villages where the dyeing is done) batik prints and bhandhej prints, all that Rajasthan is famous for, are available in the form of salwar suits, dress material and bedspreads.

Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark, the Hawa Mahal is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five storeys. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city. The top offers stunning views over Jantar Mantar and the City Palace in one direction and over Sireh Deori Bazaar in the other. There’s a museum (open Saturday to Thursday), with miniature paintings and some rich relics, such as ceremonial armour, which help evoke the royal past. Claustrophobes should be aware that the narrow corridors can sometimes get extremely cramped and crowded inside the Hawa Mahal

Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10km to the east of Jaipur. These temples are a popular tourist attraction as they are home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered around a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools pilgrims come to bath away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters.
