This is a casual spot but with incredible appeal. Delicious sandwiches and salads and fun beer options. There is often a wait here, but the upstairs portion serves drinks while you wait and kids or adults can spend time in the adjacent park.

Parks & Nature
This is a must-hike! Fabulous views of the gorge and bridge. Take your camera.
Use caution as you descend through the rhododendron tunnel, you are essentially walking out on a finger of a rock with steep drop-offs on either side. Hold hands of small children, and take it very slowly.
The hike is approximately 3.5 miles round-trip from the trailhead parking lot.

Long Point Trailhead
County Route 9-8This is a must-hike! Fabulous views of the gorge and bridge. Take your camera.
Use caution as you descend through the rhododendron tunnel, you are essentially walking out on a finger of a rock with steep drop-offs on either side. Hold hands of small children, and take it very slowly.
The hike is approximately 3.5 miles round-trip from the trailhead parking lot.
A great hike to see the views of the gorge with a shorter time/distance commitment to reach the overlook (special view) than that of Long Point Trail.
Use caution when approaching any overlooks. If you don't like heights, you can stay on the main trail the whole hike and never feel "exposed."

Waterstone Outdoors is a veritable hub of outdoorsy energy. Locally-owned and deeply rooted in the community, it is one of our favorite things about the area. Maura & Kenny source all the gear you need for climbing, hiking, yoga, and water sports. Their ath-leisure wear is also very hip. The staff are always friendly and happy to give recommendations for outings & adventures. They all know SO much about the area and their sports.
