Portland has LOTS of amazing places to eat/drink. I can't keep up on all the new places, but here's a list of favorite/classic Portland places you'll want to experience.
People flock here from across the city, beware that there is often a long wait. They have delicious tapas and beautiful scene.

Great "office" for grabbing coffee and working...they even have a printer. Nice menu with breakfast and lunch options too. Friendly hipster vibe.

The best salsa/guac EVER. Expect a line. Not super kid friendly, but depends on your kids. Great drinks.

This is a family favorite for breakfast. The eggs Benedict are amazing, with fresh fruit bowl. Good waffles at a reasonable size/prize for kids or for a couple to share.

My very favorite place for drinks, late eats (popcorn and dessert are super yummy), and a great atmosphere. You feel like an adult here without feeling old. ;-) Beautiful ballroom too...

Sadly as busy parents we've only been to see a show once, but it's a great venue. I sat in the balcony (7 months pregnant) and the view was great. Good sound, happening, but intimate.

Exceptionally "livable." Grant Park feels like a quintessential Portland neighborhood. Quiet, affluent without being hoity-toity, neighborly. Life seems to revolve around the park and newly renovated high school. Nearby everything NE Portland has to offer, easy access to SE and downtown.
