The best Ethiopian restaurant in Brooklyn, maybe all of NYC, Ghenet is a small, intimate space with nice decor featuring authentic cuisine at very reasonable prices. Made for sharing, your order arrives on a large platter atop injera (traditional Ethiopian bread) with a variety of meat and veggie options. Kids will love it because you eat with your hands. Dishes range from mild to spicy. Great service and charming atmosphere. They don't take reservations and there are only six tables so there may be a wait for seating. Our advice is to go early, before 7pm. You won't leave hungry!

The kebabs and seafood are excellent and there are plenty of vegetarian options like hummus and tabbouleh. Friendly wait staff, fast service and plenty of seating so there's never a wait for a table. A small number of outdoor tables in good weather which are great for people-watching along busy Fulton Street. Less adventurous kids can order a yummy penne pasta dish.

The best desserts in Brooklyn! This super-cute bakery with a tiny storefront specializes in cakes, seasonal pies, cookies and dozens of tasty treats. We're convinced they have magic elves in the back that sprinkle deliciousness on everything that comes out of the oven. The chocolate cake is absolutely amazing. You can get a mix of cookies by the pound, individual slices or whole pies, and cupcakes. Lovely staff that's always ready with a smile.

We're convinced they have magic elves in the back that sprinkle deliciousness on everything that comes out of the oven. The chocolate cake is absolutely amazing. You can get a mix of cookies by the pound, individual slices or whole pies, and cupcakes. Lovely staff that's always ready with a smile.
This eclectic food hall opened in 2017 and has 40 different food stalls, everything from classic burgers to hand rolled sushi and paella. Our family loves the beef noodle soup from Hana Noodles. There is also a Trader Joe's grocery store.

You can pick up grocery items like breads, cereals, noodles, sauces, etc including organic brands and there's even a sushi counter and juice bar. A great place to pick up daily produce for snacks and meals.
