Mitt i det pulserande industriområdet Arendal, där Volvo fortfarande har full verksamhet finner du Volvo Museum. Vackert beläget precis intill havet kan du som besökare beskåda Volvos historiska arv genom utställningar som visar allt från personbilar och bussar till lastbilar och många tillfälliga gästspel.

Ett par kilometer från Volvos fabriker, ligger detta museum vacker i Arendals hamn. Ni kan se bilar, bussar, båtar, lastbilar mm från olika tidsepoker under Volvos historia.

Volvo is a very important company in Gothenburg and has it's own nice museum. Recommendable.

The Volvo Museum in Gothenburg covers the development of Sweden's leading vehicle manufacturer Volvo, from the first ÖV 4 to the current cars, trucks, buses and other products. The museum also contains many other exhibits, including Gabrielsson’s and Larson’s joint desk from the pioneering years. There are also displays of Volvo Aero and Volvo Penta products. The museum is open daily except Mondays and public Swedish holidays. It is located in the Arendal area on the island Hisingen at the sea, about 10 km west of Gothenburg city centre. Follow road 155 when driving. A map is probably needed. The nearest bus stop is called Arendal Skans. The Västtrafik web site can search and find connections. The museum is located at the sea outside the river mouth, and one can take a nice walk along the shore west of the museum. Cruise ships which are too tall to go under the Älvsborg Bridge (45 metres (148 ft) allowed) berth nearby, which accounts for a fairly large share of the visitors.
