This old converted church now hosts the best selection of craft beers on tap this side of the Mussel Inn - possibly the world! Popular with mountain bikers rehydrating after a hard day doing laps over the Coppermine trail. It's a real 'freehouse' so order in takeaways from fabulous Indian right across the road, Staffano's Pizza above the theatre on Trafalga St, or BYO. Plenty of outdoor tables with live music later on (mind the sandflies tho...)

An institution in NZ - one of the first craft beer bars. Great people watching, and nice outdoors area. Bonus that it is dog friendly too!

Great craft beer pub, reminds me of living back in Wellington. Dog friendly outdoor (heated and covered) seating. You can order a curry from the Indian Cafe next door and eat it here.

Local institution, pub in an old church building, serving a large range of craft beers. Food available, but you are also welcome to bring your own including takeaways.
