Great hiking trail just a few miles from town with a beautiful stream running down the deep ravine.

Another local favorite trail is Mad Creek. From this trailhead you can take a pleasant hike to the "Mad House" and also have access to the Hot Springs Trail Hike.

Nestled peacefully next to the Zirkel Wilderness Area, Mad Creek and its surrounding network of trails wind through aspen groves, wide-open meadows filled with wildflowers, steep canyons and lush fern forests.
