“For those historical buffs we recommend the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple. About 12 kms away, in Georgetown built in 1803 - this is the oldest Buddhist temple in Penang. This is a beautiful place to visit and experience the rich historical culture in Penang.”

“Batu Ferringhi Night Market tops our list of best places for night time action. What makes it a great shopping option is the fact that travellers staying along the Batu Ferringhi stretch do not have to travel all the way into Georgetown for their retail fix. The only downside is that you could purchase select items (like batik-print clothes) at slightly better prices in town: our advice – bargain hard! If you like something, do not buy it at the first stall you see - have a look around, and then return only if you cannot find a better price elsewhere.”
