[Unfortunately, this Javalencia location is now closed.] Nice little coffee shop with two other locations downtown. They offer solid coffee, bagels, pastries, sandwiches, smoothies and probably other stuff.

Above-average coffee and a modest food menu. Great veggie & hummus sandwich.

“Beautiful baseball park to see a game or just drink with 50,000 other people with a killer view of the bay. Fantastic Bike route around the park to the Embarcadero.”

“One of San Francisco’s ecological treasures, Heron’s Head Park is a 22-acre open space and thriving wildlife habitat located in the City’s Southeast Sector. Teeming with native plants and a wide variety of birds, Heron’s Head Park is one of the few wetlands on San Francisco’s shoreline, and is an example of restoration success. Heron’s Head Park attracts more than 100 bird species a year and is used for education and recreation by thousands of bird-watchers, hikers, students, teachers, and visitors from around the San Francisco Bay Area, The land is owned by the Port of San Francisco, which works to enhance, expand, and preserve the Park.”

“Some of the best soul food in SF. The best Shrimp & grits, Fried Oysters, chicken & waffles.... It’s slightly off the beaten path, which is nice if you don’t like dealing with so much crowds and traffic. Casual, Not touristy, and amazingly for SF, not overpriced! ”

“Speakeasy Ales & Lagers has been defiantly brewing small batches of beer in San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood since 1997. The brewery started with a single iconic beer, still made today, called Prohibition Ale. The hoppy amber beer embodies the spirit of bootleggers and gangsters who persevered when America’s taps ran dry. The brewery quickly gained a loyal following with bold, complex beers, and striking 1920s imagery. In 1999, Big Daddy IPA was added to the lineup and became San Francisco’s best-selling IPA. The beer is still Speakeasy’s kingpin, representing 40% of the brewery’s sales, among a wide array of acclaimed beers, from session ales to bourbon barrel-aged stouts.”
