Likely built during the reign of James I in the 1300s to protect the harbour and later added to by the Ottomans, it was also used as a prison during British rule.

The Larnaca Castle is 2 minutes away. It was probably built during the reign of James I (1382 -1398) to protect the town’s harbour.
