Crumlin Road Gaol with it's infamous hanging room is a 15 minute walk from the flat. Republican and Loyalist prisoners were locked up here during the Troubles, but the gaol goes back to Victorian times. A great experience and extremely popular. Concerts are run here too at times.

If you stay too long... you may not get out HMP Belfast, also known as Crumlin Road Gaol, is a former prison situated on the Crumlin Road in north Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is the only Victorian era prison remaining in Northern Ireland since 1996. It is affectionately known as the Crum.
