Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights has a lot of great places to eat - Olmsted, Maison Yaki, Faun, Chuko, and more. But of all of the spots on this stretch just north of Prospect Park, it’s LaLou that has the best wine program. The long wine list is mostly made up of natural wines, with a big selection of familiar varietals from famous regions in France and Italy, as well as some lesser-known options. Come for dinner and ask the very friendly staff to help you choose a bottle - most are in the $40-$70 range - or just get drinks and snacks at the bar overlooking the open kitchen or on the back patio.
