This space is an amazing resource, a land care space that brings together Maori and white settler narratives within bush walks (forest walks). The reserve is large with lots of picnic tables and benches. The beach area is good and there are plenty of opportunities to kayak and SUP. Even on a Sunday when there are lots of groups and families it does not feel crowded and you can find your own bit of peace and quiet. Good loo and shower facilities and lots of walking tracks for all levels.

You can have a picnic or a good barbecue, and you can also enjoy the beach that is in front of the park, beautiful place

It is a great location for chilling out on a beach and going for a short walk. You can also visit the Couldrey House Homestead, which will take you back in time.
