Approximately 800m away. Located at the end of the Foinikoudes promenade, the Medieval Castle of Larnaka (also referred to as Larnaka Fort) is believed to have been originally built during the Middle Ages, and took its present form during Ottoman rule.

Built as a look out for marauding invaders then changed into other uses including a prison during British colonialization. Well worth a visit inside where you can look out over the sea. There are occasionally music events which are magical

History Museum
“The Pierides Museum - Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation is the oldest private museum in Cyprus, and is housed in the ancestral Pierides family home - a colonial-style building built in 1815. It includes some of the most representative items of the island’s civilisation. The objects on display date from 4000BC to the 15th century AD, and are an important testimony to a centuries-old civilisation that flourished in Cyprus. Prized items in the collection are the red polished ware from the Early Bronze Age, Roman glassware, and medieval ceramic dishes. A display case of Modern Greek and Cypriot sculptures can be seen in the courtyard.”

Mosque
“Hala Sultan Tekke or the Mosque of Umm Haram is located approximately 8 Km away. Is a Muslim mosque on the west bank of Larnaca Salt Lake, in Larnaca, Hala Sultan Tekke complex is composed of a mosque, mausoleum, minaret, cemetery, and living quarters for men and women. The term tekke (convent) applies to a building designed specifically for gatherings of a Sufi brotherhood, or tariqa, and may have referred to an earlier feature of the location. The present-day complex, open to all and not belonging to a single religious movement, lies in a serene setting on the shores of the Larnaca Salt Lake, which appears to be an important site also in prehistory. Hala Sultan Tekke is a listed Ancient Monument.”

“* Beautiful, peaceful Greek orthodox church in the centre of Larnaca * Built by Byzantine emperor Leo VI in the late 9th century, It takes its name from the New Testament figure Lazarus who was raised from the dead and forced to flee Judea and who came to Cyprus, where he lived for some 30 years or so. * Filled with amazing icons, art and chandeliers * Go down the stairs to visit the crypt with the tomb of St Lazarus ”
