Pickup is about proving yourself on the court. I like to go Riverside once in a while to catch weekend warriors who don’t know me. That gets me pumped to play. There are benches in front of the courts to wait for your game or just watch. The younger kids tend to play full, while players of all levels use the four half courts. There’s a guy that comes around with a cooler full of Gatorade, water, and soda. It sells for a dollar or two.

Walk west down 160th street until you reach some stone stairs through a median between Riverside Drive, then walk northwest and around the corner and cross Riverside Drive W - you'll have a great view of the river, the George Washington Bridge, and lower Manhattan.

This would be fantastic to walk during sunset. Beautiful views over the Hudson River. You can also rent a bike and ride it all the way down Manhattan and back with a protected Greenway path

“ I go frequently into NYC to attend a Met opera performance or concert. If it's raining, I rarely get a drop! I can walk to the station under the train tressel overpass; or leave my car weekends in lot.. Once I board the train to Penn Station, all I need is to take #1 train uptown; get off at 66th Street; follow signs to Met Opera House via the tunnel and I am there! Wow!”

“A beautiful iconic campus just a short walk away, where you can either just enjoy the scenery or take a tour. The campus has also been used as the site of multiple TV colleges, including Gossip Girl and Spiderman. ”

“Kids of all ages, and grown-ups too, will be happy to eat anything on this menu—huge portions of fried chicken, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts with brown sugar and bacon, and biscuit sandwiches in every imaginable form. Seriously, there’s no need to order separately for little ones. Make an Upper West Side day of it. One of the city’s most beloved toy stores, West Side Kids, is across the street, and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan is around the corner on 83rd Street. My kids practically lived there when they were younger.”
