“Before you walk around to see the front of the Masceti Temple Stop here to take photos of Bhuto Ijo statue looking fearsome sitting high in the lovely garden surrounds. But don't go into the garden area, the best photos are from right here on the corner. Bhuto Ijo was not always a good spirit, way back in time he was known as a creepy giant causing havoc in the surrounds. Finally, the spirit Pedada Wawu Rauh convinced Bhuto Ijo to guard the box that contains the evil spirits of the area, and he was given great strength and since that time has guarded the temple warding off attackers and any evil who might pass by these Temples. Bhuto Ijo is now the icon in Seminyak and Petitinget Temples always protecting and making sure the temples stand strong. There is also room on the north side of the garden for the statue of Penanda Wawu Rauh which will eventually be placed there just to be sure that Bhutof Ijo remembers his job. When you're ready, continue walking making a left turn to skirt around the outside of the temples.”
