Nice local museum for kids - exhibits and live animals. Recently opened after a long renovation.
Small, free museum. Even though it for kids, I still like it. They have rescued animals. Great views and picnic tables outside. Sometimes I just pop in for a minute while on a walk.
A kid’s museum that is small and cute and free and in walking distance. Walk over in the morning for coffee in the café with a view (opens at 10; closed Mondays and Sundays)
This is one of my favorite places in San Francisco. Even if the museum is closed it is on Corona Heights Peak with breathtaking views of San Francisco. I often go here to hike and meditate. But if the museum is on it has birds, ducks, and rabbits. A great experience for both kids and grownups.
Great little *free* museum with live animals, interactive displays and a big train set in the basement. Nice grounds with a picnic area outside.
Randall Museum of science and nature in San Francisco offers live animal exhibits, classes and activities in science and art for all ages. Free admission. A good place to take kids to
