This is a historic Roaring Fork Valley landmark. The dive bar of our valley with incredible food, always great 80's music seems to be playing and this is where Hunter S Thompson used to hang and the cowboys ride to and hitch their horses up outside. The best burgers and mexican, cheap good beer in…
The legend of Hunter S. Thompson — and many of this quirky enclaves' characters — lives on in this rustic road house just outside town. Perfect for a bike-ride lunch down the Rio Grande (in the summer). You can either ride back up to town or take a taxi. In the winter its about a 15 minute drive.
Great patio, great margaritas and good food too! Very popular hangout in the summertime.
Funky hole in the wall. Lots of celebs go here. One of the last local spots left up valley. Bring cash (there is an ATM), but no credit cards. Good margs, and ranch dressing is killer!
Great lunch spot. Ride your bike along the Rio Grande Trail and have lunch here. It's a not to miss beautiful opportunity. Enjoy fish sandwiches, hamburgers, margaritas and chips.
For summer time, you can get here by bike, great Tex-mex food. Go on a sunny day. Try the nachos and burgers.

“Fun spot for lunch (and some rose). Especially if it is sunny and warm, you can sit on the deck and watch the skiers. For sure order the truffle fries. (Fun for Apres too)”
