St. Giorgio Castle was built in the XVII Century on the hill where the first settlement of La Spezia was born. Today the restored castle houses the Archaeological Museum "U. Formentini", which collect documentation about surrounding area from the Prehistory to Medieval Age. It features also some statue stelae of Lunigiana (dating back IV millennium b.C).

Beautiful view over the city of La Spezia and the Gulf of Poets. It hosts the archaeological museum containing the "stelae" statues of Lunigiana.
