Hotel Colorado has tried to preserve its history. Travel back in time and get a tour of the old hotel. See the rooms where former President Theodore Roosevelt and mafia icon Al Capone stayed.

The hotel is historic property interesting to visit, but the rooms are a bit dated. The restaurant is great. The serve their food in the courtyard by the fountain during summer. Lovely!

This historic old hotel is worth seeing when you're in Glenwood Springs. Teddy Roosevelt stayed here when he came to visit. The lobby is beautiful, and there's a coffee shop and restaurant inside. You could ask for a tour. I'm not sure if you can get one at any time or if they have set times.

We love poking around the lobby of the historic Hotel Colorado--it feels like being transported back in time to the days when Teddy Roosevelt stayed there on his hunting expeditions. It's fun to grab a drink in the bar and sit in the courtyard for people-watching, too.
